If your dog is suffering from any type of joint or hip pain, you probably realize walks are no longer a joy as they once were. Depending on the severity of mobility issues they have, your dog might have several issues including squatting or limping as a result of painful joints. Fortunately, there are specific dog lift harnesses that allow you to pull up and assist your dog by the lower back, where problem areas usually are.

If you're a DIYer, luckily there's an easy way to replicate your own dog lift harness at home with a heavy-duty shopping bag. I recommend something soft and comfortable to your dog's skin. If your dog's mobility isn't too severe, you could also use a normal leash and/or only use the lift when he or she needs to squat.
